Women’s Jewelry Association to Honor Susan Jacques



Borsheims’ president and CEO Susan Jacques will travel to New York on July 26 to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women’s Jewelry Association.

Jacques has been president and CEO of Borsheims Fine Jewelry & Gifts since 1994, when Berkshire Hathaway chairman Warren Buffett appointed her to the position. Jacques, a native of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) started her career at Borsheims as a sales associate and appraiser in 1982. She has long been a leading force in the jewelry industry, playing an active role in trade organizations including Jewelers of America, Jewelers Vigilance Committee and Jewelers for Children.

Jacques currently serves as the chair of the board of governors of the Gemological Institute of America.
