Dubbed by many as “Fashion’s Oscars,” the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, held May 7 in New York City, kicked off the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibit. It also gave us couture hits, misses, and plenty of jewels. While the exhibition runs May 10–Aug. 19, the fashion frenzy of the Gala lasted just one night.
