The World Federation of Diamond Bourses on Feb. 1 launched PresidentsMeeting2011.com, a
dedicated site for its 2011 WFDB Presidents’ Meeting.
The meeting will take place April 11–13 at the Jumeirah
Meydan Hotel in Dubai, hosted by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and
the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE).
“Dubai is in an excellent position to host this biennial
event,” said Avi Paz, president of WFDB. “Dubai’s diamond imports and exports
doubled in volume by the end of 2010—a harbinger for an upward trend in 2011.”
The International Diamond Manufacturers Association is
hosting its 2011 Presidents’ meeting in Botswana. This is the first year the
associations have held Presidents’ meetings in different locales.
