A new computerized watch training program is set to debut to retailers at JCK Las Vegas on Saturday, May 30 as part of the Swiss Watch by JCK event. The Watch@Tablet—the brainchild of nonprofit group the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie—aims to boost the sales of fine watchmaking products and combat the global counterfeiting of timepieces through a touch-screen PC loaded with brand histories (of retailers stocked brands), catalogs of product, prices, technical developments, and interactive animations; all highlight the finer points of watchmaking that are oftentimes difficult for sales associates to explain, as well as educating staff on all merchandise details unique to brands carried. The FHH also intends to launch an international anti-counterfeiting campaign, revealing its research on the topic during the press conference.
Retailers can witness demonstrations of the Watch@Tablet on Saturday, May 30th 8am in Suite 205 of the Venetian on the 34th floor.
