U.S. Military Using Trident Watch

Watch manufacturer Reactor has equipped elite units of the United States military forces, including a U.S. Army Scout Sniper Company, and elements of the U.S. Air Force Para Rescue team—with the Trident high-tech timepiece.

The watch contains NeverDark, a proprietary lighting system that combines intensely bright Swiss Superluminova with long-lasting tritium gas-filled tubes, the Agoura Hills, Calif.-based company said in a statement. Working together, these features overcome the limitations of either’s illumination when used alone. The Trident’s durability and lighting caught the attention of the U.S. military, which is testing its effectiveness.

Other features of the Trident, which is available in stainless, black nitride, and titanium, are forged, solid construction, a 10-year lithium power cell, unidirectional rotating timing bezel, and an accurate, shock resistant quartz movement.
