Tom Brokaw Receives Girard-Perregaux 1966

Swiss Luxury watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux presented broadcast journalist and news anchor Tom Brokaw with an exclusive Girard-Perregaux 1966 timepiece in commemoration of his support in the fight against cancer.

The timepiece was presented to Brokaw at the Circle 1000, 21st annual Hoag Hospital Foundation Founders’ Brunch, on April 18 at Hilton Orange County, in Costa Mesa, Calif.

“We chose the Girard-Perregaux 1966 for Mr. Brokaw because it embodies classic elegance,” said Tradema of America CEO Ron Jackson. “Mr. Brokaw is a strong advocate for cancer education, and a timepiece symbolizes perfectly the importance of time and patience in the fight to prevent and cure cancer.”

Since its founding in 1987, Circle 1000 has contributed more than $8 million for cancer programs at Hoag Cancer Center. In recognition of its donors’ support, Circle 1000 hosts an annual brunch with a noted speaker. Circle 1000 presentations have been made by Nancy Reagan, Peter Ueberroth, Dave Dravecky, Linda Ellerbee, Harry Belafonte, Ted Kennedy, Jr., and Scott Hamilton.
