Tiffany to open two stores in Japan

Tiffany & Co. will add to presence in Japan by opening two stores in September.

The two-level, 5,400 sq.ft. Osaka store, opening on Sept. 7, will be located in the new Shinsaibashi Sogo department store. On September 10, the luxury jeweler will open a 2,000 sq.ft. boutique in the Yokohama.

Both new locations will combine modern design elements with architectural details of Tiffany’s famous New York flagship store, including stone and marble façade, and stainless steel framed glass showcases and vitrines, the company said. Among the offerings, will be the jeweler’s diamonds in platinum and 18k gold settings, fine and engagement jewelry, watches, sterling silver jewelry, and a selection of accessories and gifts.

“These new locations represent great opportunities for growth,” said Michael C. Christ, president of Tiffany & Co. Japan, Inc. “In southern Osaka, we have a superb space in a new building of luxury retailers, and our new Yokohama boutique is ideally situated in a vibrant shopping area.”
