Tiffany & Co. announced plans to open a store in Vancouver, British Columbia, in Nov. 2006. The approximately 4,700 gross-square-foot store will be located at the corner of Burrard and Alberni streets in the heart of the city’s business and retail district.

“The qualities that make Vancouver one of the world’s best cities to live in as well as to visit, also make it the ideal location for a TIFFANY & CO. store,” said Beth O. Canavan, executive vice president of Tiffany & Co. “The city’s growth as a center for international business and its setting of great natural beauty create the perfect environment in which to introduce the beauty of Tiffany design, along with our heritage of utmost quality and superior service.”

A week earlier, Tiffany announced plans to open a store in Vienna, Austria, in the fall. The approximately 2,400-square-foot store will be located on the Kohlmarkt, a historic area of Vienna and one of the city’s premier shopping districts.

The planned two-level store will occupy a prominent corner location in an elegant nineteenth century building that is undergoing a complete renovation to accommodate new retailers.

At both stores, the jeweler will offer TIFFANY & CO. collections, including engagement diamonds and jewels in platinum and 18k settings; rare and lustrous pearls; fashion jewelry and watches. The Gehry(TM) Collection created by Tiffany’s newest designer, celebrated architect Frank Gehry; the signature designs of Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger; as well as accessories, china and crystal gifts.
