EBay won the last round in its legal tussle with Tiffany, according to a report from Reuters.
The retailer sued the online
auctioneer in 2004, charging that it fooled users by allowing counterfeit
Tiffany jewelry to be sold.
After noting that Tiffany didn’t prove its false-advertising charge against
eBay, U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan in Manhattan dismissed the case. Analysis of the decision that led to this dismissal can be seen here.
