The Temptations will open the JCK Show – Las Vegas

JCK announces the Grammy-Award winning Motown rockers The Temptations will be performing at the JCK Show – Las Vegas 2003. The harmonious R&B group will perform at the show’s traditional annual Welcome Reception, slated this year for May 29 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The exhibit floor opens May 30 through June 3.

Since 1961 the Temptations have been one of America’s favorite R&B groups, winning four Grammy awards, two American Music Awards, and a Soul Train Music Award during their forty-year reign on the music charts. They have also recorded five platinum albums, six platinum singles (including “My Girl,” “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me” and “Just My Imagination”), 14 gold albums, and 12 gold singles. In 1989 they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors accorded in the music industry.

“We are thrilled to have The Temptations kick off this year’s event. They are a musical group that every generation is familiar with and their performance will reflect the many enhancements to our show this year,” said Fran Pennella, marketing director for The JCK Shows and Luxury by JCK.

In addition to the Welcome Reception extravaganza, other show enhancements include a streamlined registration process, a re-engineered, better-segmented floor plan, expanded café and lounge areas, and a keynote address by renowned fashion critic Leon Hall.
