The Jewelry: Lunch At Fred’s

Hedda is the diner and Aggie is the server at lunch at Fred’s (in Barneys New York). The Platinum Guild International hosted a group of trade journalists yesterday, and I got to chat with Huw Daniel and the rest of the PGI gang, who do a fine job supplying journalists with all of the latest news in platinum jewelry.

Aggie and Hedda at Fred’s in Barneys NYC

My slant:
Hedda does a fine job mixing fashion (costume) jewelry with an array of fine. On her ears, Alex Sepkus 18k gold and light blue gemstone drops (are the stones chalcedony?), a gold-color Michael Kors fashion watch on her left wrist, and several little bracelets on the right, including malachite beads (the green) from Russell Simmons, a 24k gold and black pearl Gurhan bracelet (small and not visible in the pic) in addition to some gold-color fashion bangles which you can see. Her karat gold cigar-band ring is from a Turkish designer, and it mingles well with the other karat-gold and light blue gemstone ring one finger over.

Meanwhile, Aggie’s look is outstanding! Huw and I both love her funky hair style, glasses, dramatic red lipstick that matches her tie, and her amethyst bead earrings in silver. The delicate mix of beaded bracelets on her right wrist–looks like wood, freshwater pearls, and some cherry quartz–are cute and low-profile enough for work.
