TARA’s New Garden of Gems Collection

Many know New York City-based TARA for its high-end South Seas pearls, but this week, it debuted a new finished jewelry collection at the Centurion show in Scottsdale, Ariz., that aims to call more attention to the firm’s freshwaters.

Mixed with colored stones, pieces in the Garden of Gems collection, available in 18k gold-plated silver or 14k gold, feature moonstones, citrines, and morganite, among others. Just nine SKUs currently exist in the line—which can also be seen at AGTA booth 1126 at the convention center in Tucson during the current AGTA GemFair Tucson. Suggested retail prices start at $300 in silver and $1,000 in gold.

“Going into spring and summer, we wanted a big, bold, beautiful look that’s also price-conscious,” explains TARA’s Akash Sethi. “Plus, the colors will coordinate well with tangerine, Pantone’s color of the year.” The collection name comes from the styling, as pieces resemble a rock garden. During Centurion, 10 orders were placed.
