Sundance Diamonds Names New GM

Sundance Diamonds, named Sonny Pope general manager of the company’s existing diamond-processing business and its newly launched Suncrest Diamonds business.

In his new position, Pope will oversee all current and future business operations for Sundance Diamonds and Suncrest Diamonds.

Pope holds a Masters in Business Administration from Brigham Young University and has worked with the high pressure high temperature diamond processing company as the director of research and development since 2002.

“Sundance Diamonds has a solid reputation among diamond wholesalers because of the company’s commitment to service, trust and integrity,” said Israel Itzkowitz, Quadamas designer and CEO, who is developing a line of jewelry with Suncrest fancy yellow diamonds. “Sonny Pope has been influential in growing this reputation and in moving the acceptance of HPHT-processed diamonds forward throughout the industry—including the diamond trade and gemological laboratories.”

Sundance Diamonds is a division of U S Synthetic, the world’s largest manufacturer of polycrystalline diamonds for use in oil and gas exploration. Both companies are located in Orem, Utah. The parent company is the Dover Corp., a worldwide diversified manufacturer of proprietary products and components for industrial and commercial use, headquartered in New York City.
