Living in Miami, Daniela Swaebe loves the warm weather and the breezy, colorful
frocks that naturally complement the Caribbean flavor of her area. To
accessorize summer outfits, Swaebe, a jewelry designer for 12 and a half years,
recently unveiled a new line of about 10 Summer Scarves—mixed gemstone lariats
ideal for adorning loose-fitting tunics and dresses. Calling the looks “earthy glam,” Swaebe says she’ll limit the color
combinations to trios of pastels, with suggested retail prices starting at $1,500.
She’ll also “road test” them herself over the summer. “I am travelling abroad
this summer and all these necklaces go with my outfits,” she tells JCK. Her favorite thus far: the green amethyst,
aquamarine, and turquoise number, the colors of which strongly resemble the
bodies of water she’ll see during her travels to places like Mykonos, Santorini, and the
Hamptons.
