Stuller Opens Wednesday with Small Staff

Hurricane Gustav delivered a blow to the Lafayette, La.-based company but it didn’t stop Stuller from opening Wednesday.

The company said that its facilities, systems, and infrastructure were not affected by the hurricane, which passed over the city (about 50  miles west of Baton Rouge) Monday. As a result, the company opened for business but is operating with a limited staff as many employees are dealing with the hurricane aftermath.

“Today, we will do our best to ship all orders received prior to 3 p.m. CDT,” the company said in a statement. “We will continue to take orders until our 5 p.m. CDT closing time due to local and regional curfews. Orders received between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. CDT will be shipped Thursday, Sept. 4. All scheduled orders from stuller.com will be submitted at 3 p.m. CDT.”

The statement continues, “Due to the uncertainty of our carrier’s schedules, we cannot guarantee next day delivery for orders placed today, Sept. 3, but we will make every effort to do so.”
