Store Owner Killed in N.J. Robbery

A jewelry store owner was killed after a store robbery
turned into a murder-suicide in Bridgewater, N.J., Feb. 7.

A man entered Roy T. Jewelers around 4:45 p.m. with
intentions of robbing the store, Jack Bennett, a spokesman for the Somerset
County Prosecutor’s Office, tells JCK.

“He shot the owner and then turned around and shot himself,”
Bennett says. No one else was injured during the incident. 

Authorities were not releasing the names of the men at press
time, but according to MyCentralJersey.com, Roy DeVoe is the owner of Roy
T. Jewelers.
