Sterling Jewelers Inc. has announced a settlement agreement with two companies accused of infringing on the copyrighted designs of its Open Hearts by Jane Seymour jewelry line, which is the protected work of the actress and artist.
Sterling said the agreement settles lawsuits against GoldStar Jewellery LLC and ULTRA Stores Inc.
Sterling said that under the terms of the agreement, the two companies agreed to stop copying, reproducing, and distributing the copyrighted designs and provide damages to Sterling. In return, Sterling is withdrawing all claims and allegations against the companies.
