State Jewelry Associations Get Tool to Contact Legislators

Jewelers of America will expand its Legislative Action Center to six state and regional partner association websites.

Intermountain Jewelers Association, Missouri Jewelers Association, Nebraska/South Dakota Jewelers Association, New York State Jewelers Association, North Carolina Jewelers Association, and Oklahoma Jewelers Association have all joined JA on the project.

The state-specific action centers, funded by a grant from the JCK Industry Fund, allow jewelers to communicate with their state legislatures.

“As an industry, we need to mobilize our efforts, since policy decisions can impact jewelers at all levels of government,” Matthew A. Runci, Jewelers of America president and CEO, said in a statement. “Jewelers in these states now have better access to a powerful grassroots advocacy tool that lets them to reach out directly to their officials.”
