Shuler’s Jewelers helps fight HIV and AIDS

Shuler’s Jewelers in Wayne and Norristown, Pa., is planning to support the fundraising efforts of YouthAIDS, a global initiative that educates millions about HIV and AIDS. Jewelry designer Roberto Coin is also involved with this effort.

Coin has designed a special bracelet, known as the “YouthAIDS Bracelet,” to raise money and awareness for this initiative. A unique diamond charm of Africa along with Coin’s signature ruby adorns the bracelet. Shuler’s is one of only three retail stores in the Philadelphia area, where this exclusive piece of jewelry is available for purchase. Howard Zenker, owner of Shuler’s, will donate $175 for every 18k gold bracelet and $100 for every sterling silver bracelet sold. The yellow gold bracelet retails for $850 while the silver costs $350.

“The opportunity to work with such an inspiring organization and a talented designer are few and far between. I hope people realize the power of education and the importance of this endeavor,” said Zenker. “As a local jeweler, I’m delighted to be able to contribute, help create awareness and stop the spread of AIDS.”

Roberto Coin and YouthAIDS have teamed with the Diamond Trading Corp. and InStyle Magazine for this campaign. YouthAIDS focuses on empowering young people to stop the spread of this deadly disease, which kills 8,000 people daily and infects more than 40 million globally.

Donations may be made to YouthAIDS. ATTN: Kerry McMillin, Roberto Coin, Inc., 579 Fifth Avenue 17th Floors, New York, NY 10017, 212.486.4545.
