Robbins Bros. Expands to Chicago

Southern California jeweler Robbins Bros., which bills itself as the “world’s biggest engagement ring store,” is expanding into the Chicago area with the opening of three stores.

“Chicagoans seek quality products and a meaningful shopping experience,” said Robbins Bros. chairman and chief executive officer Steve Robbins. “We are anxious to win this market’s heart.”

A store in the Chicago suburb of The Schaumburg opened for business Thursday at 1985 E. Golf Rd. A store in the suburb of Oak Brook, at 3031 Butterfield Rd., is scheduled to open on Aug. 23. A Chicago location in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, 2184 N. Elston Road, is scheduled to open in mid-October.

The Los Angeles-based jeweler with 11 other locations in Southern California, Dallas, and Houston, typically operates free standing stores that range from 6,500 to 9,400 square feet and specializes in what it calls the company calls the “engagement process,” assisting couples from ring selection consultation to proposal recommendations and coordination.
