Retailers Making News

Retail jewelers making the news over the last week run the
gamut. The news item that seemed to get picked up most by various news sources
was about a woman who faked leukemia to gain sympathy in an all-expenses-paid
wedding and honeymoon drawing that involved a jewelry store owner in upstate
New York. Other news involving retailers includes one store owner’s brush with
“Bachelorette” fame, an environmentally-aware jeweler helping to heal the
oceans and a jeweler who helped his local commuter line with a diamond event on
wheels.
