Retail Thursday’s Retailer of the Week debut honors go to
Larson Jewelers for their Ban the Ballad contest. In the spirit of Adam
Sandler’s movie “The Wedding Singer,” Larson Jewelers is “on a mission to find the worst wedding song in the world [and
ban it] so you can enjoy YOUR wedding without hearing a cluck of the chicken
dance.” Contestants submit a wedding song title and a brief comment on why they
want it banned for a chance to win an Apple Gift Card of $100 to shop for tunes
online, an iPod, and a pair of tungsten rings.
