Reed Exhibitions and GJEPC forge promotional alliance

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council has partnered with Reed Exhibitions, organizer of many of the world’s leading jewelry fairs including JCK Las Vegas, for bilateral promotion. The alliance between the two major players in the global gem and jewelry industry will fuel the growth of the Indian industry in the coming years, both organizations said in a statement. In turn, GJEPC will support Reed Exhibitions in its first Indian initiative, JCK New Delhi.

“The jewelry industry relies heavily on the promotion of its products. This alliance will greatly enhance the industry’s promotional efforts,” said Bakul R. Mehta, GJEPC chairman. “It will be beneficial to both JCK and the Indian gem and jewelry industry.”

Tim Porter, business development director for Reed Exhibitions added, “Reed already enjoy a close and successful relationship with GJEPC at many of our jewelry events, and so this alliance is a positive step for us both. We are also delighted to have the support of GJEPC in our first venture into India with the launch of JCK new Delhi.”

Reed Exhibitions said it will help the GJEPC better promote the Indian jewelry industry in exhibitions organized by Reed across the globe. This enables GJEPC to tap into a huge audience world-wide in the very best of forums. In turn, GJEPC said will promote JCK New Delhi, a jewelry trade fair that will take place in New Delhi this September and will become an annual fair.

GJEPC represents more than 6500 jewelers in India. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and elected representatives of the industry. It is a non-profit organization involved in promoting the exports of India’s gem and jewelry sector.
