Whitehall Jewellers Inc. said Tuesday that it named Steven J. Pully as chairman of the board, replacing Daniel Levy, who remains a director.
Levy had served as interim chairman of the Chicago-based specialty jeweler since March 30, following the death of Hugh M. Patinkin, former chairman and CEO of the company. Pully has served as president of Newcastle Capital Management LP since January 2003.
The company also said Jean K. FitzSimon has been appointed as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. FitzSimon most recently was general counsel and a principal of consulting firm Bridge Associations LLC.
Both appointments became effective immediately.
Whitehall Jewellers, Inc. is a national specialty retailer of fine jewelry, operating 386 stores in 38 states. The Company operates stores in regional and super regional shopping malls under the names Whitehall Co. Jewellers, Lundstrom Jewelers and Marks Bros. Jewelers.
