Politecnico di Milano to Offer Course in Eco-Sustainable Jewelry Design

The Politecnico di Milano announced July 7 that it
will offer its first-ever international course in eco-sustainable jewelry
design from March 14 to March 19, 2011.

The course is being organized in cooperation with
CIBJO and the World Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation.  The course will be conducted in English
at the Politecnico di Milano’s POLI.design campus in Milan. The first part of
the course will focus on the theory of eco-sustainable jewelry.  The second part will feature a hands-on
workshop.

A maximum of 30 students will be admitted to the
course, and attendance will be mandatory in order to graduate.  Applicants
for the course should be first and second level graduates holding a high
school-level diploma from an art school or goldsmith institute, as well as
professional jewelers wishing to specialize in eco-sustainable jewelry design.

The acceptance committee will chose candidates following
an evaluation of their professional curriculum vitae.  The cost of the eco-sustainable jewelry design is €1,000
plus 20 percent VAT.  Candidates
should email their application forms and CVs to formazione@polidesign.net by
October 30.
