While artist Gregory Morin of Gregore Joailliers had a
childhood babysitting gig in mind when he designed this piece, it could remind
some of another pink babe in the headlines this week. Still, the Santa Barbara,
Calif.–based jeweler and maker of art objects—like this 139 ct. carved
pink opal with pink sapphires, melee, and 18k gold—was
thinking of a little neighbor girl he babysat as a youth. “I would plead with
her to stay up just a little longer for one last story,” he recollects to JCK. A sweet story for this one-of-a-kind
bow-headed babe with a price tag of $34,000.
