From time to time, I come across a photo of an individual styled so beautifully with jewelry that the photo deserves comment and another admiring look. At times, the opposite is true, and it’s time to break out the black bar and ask the question favored by various celebrity-focused magazines, “What was she thinking?” Watch for my “Photo Finds” to see what’s catching my eye. In People magazine’s recent feature on the World’s Most Beautiful People, Mary J. Blige is shown in a portrait in profile. Her precision haircut and simple neckline of her basic black top is accessorized with a single, perfect large hoop earring. Much smaller, and the earring would lose its drama; any fussier in style and it would distract from the clean lines of her haircut and clothing. Her look is the epitome of dramatic style. The effect: perfectly beautiful!
