Platinum Guild International USA unveiled its first-ever online platinum sales training program—Platinum First—for retail jewelers. The 30-minute interactive training module offers a comprehensive education on the value of platinum, as well as providing tools for sales associates to effectively sell platinum to their bridal customers. The goal of the training is to show that offering platinum jewelry to bridal customers first in store can sometimes double the chances of sales associates making a platinum sale.
Platinum First is a new online training program from Platinum Guild International USA.
PGI conducted a soft launch of the program in fall 2008 with more than 100 sales associates from two leading regional chains and two independent retailers to ensure that the technology and the education were ready for the entire industry. Those who tested the program called it “user friendly,” “a helpful refresher that often taught them something they didn’t already know,” and, a means of preparing “for real [sales] life situations,” according to PGI research.
Platinum First is just 30 minutes in length, and can help store owners and sales associates make more sales of platinum bridal jewelry.
