Petra Diamonds increased its interest in the Koffiefontein mine in South Africa from 70 percent to 74 percent, effective Dec. 10.
The additional 4 percent interest in Koffiefontein was acquired from the
shareholders of Re-Teng Diamonds, Petra’s black economic empowerment
partners.
As a result, Petra now controls 74 percent in Koffiefontein, BEE partners 26 percent.
