Paris Hilton luxury watch auctioned for $125,000

Oscar Rodriguez, CEO of Abazias.com, a leader in discount diamonds and jewelry, was the top bidder at a Nov. 30 charity auction for the first watch in TV personality Paris Hilton’s new luxury watch limited edition line.

Rodriguez paid $125,000 for the Swiss-made 18k white gold watch, whose features include 1,000 diamonds and a 5 time-zone rotating ring. Proceeds of the auction benefited the Memorial Sloan Kettering Center for Breast Cancer Research. A company announcement said Rodriguez would resell on line at Abazias.com.

The watch line will be sold in the United States exclusively at select stores of the watch retailer, Tourneau. It held the auction as part of an invitation-only evening at its TimeMachine store in New York City to introduce the watch to the affluent public.

The evening was co-hosted by Parlux Fragrances, Inc. Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., manufacturer and international distributor of prestige products. It holds licenses for Paris Hilton fragrances, watches, cosmetics, handbags and other small leather accessories. It plans to distribute the Paris Hilton Limited Edition series, whose watches retail at $100,000, internationally as well.
