Jewelry technology firm, Paragon Lake, headquartered in Lexington, Mass., announced the appointment of David Hill as vice president of business development. Hill, who joined Paragon Lake in January 2009 as vice president of sales, will now have additional responsibility for the development of relationships with key strategic retail and supply chain partners.

Hill began his 25-year industry career in his family’s jewelry store in Concord, Mass., and went on to work with elite companies and skilled leaders throughout the field. He previously held executive roles for M. Fabrikant and Sons, Lazare Kaplan, Cut by Tolkowsky, and, most recently, Waldman Diamond Complete as senior vice president of North American sales.

Founded in 2006, Paragon Lake is a web-based, virtual marketplace for made-to-order fine jewelry. The company’s Virtual Display Case technology provides jewelry retailers with access to jewelry designs created by Paragon Lake’s global designer community, and can be personalized and made to order.
