Ohio Jeweler Raises Money for Make-A-Wish

Harold Jaffe Jewelers, Toledo, Ohio, rolled out a month long promotion raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

Throughout the month of May, those who visited Harold Jaffe Jewelers were invited to donate $10 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio to pop a balloon for their chance to win a prize ranging from gemstones to the grand prize of a 1-ct. diamond, valued at nearly $5,000.

A total of 285 balloons were sold over 30 days. With 100 percent of proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio, Harold Jaffe Jewelers raised $2,850 for the charity.

“We’ve been dedicated to the Toledo community for over 60 years and wanted to continue the tradition of giving back,” said Jeff Jaffe, President of Harold Jaffe Jewelers. “We’re extremely happy to present the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio® with the money we raised because we know the dollars go a great way to assist a great cause.”

The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio grants over 70 wishes every year, with an average cost of $5,500 per wish.
