A New York woman will marry soon wearing a dress adorned with 1,100 diamonds—some 300 carats—and worth $300,000, Reuters reports.
The bride, who prefers to remain anonymous, had the hand-stitched, two-piece silk gown made by Brooklyn designer Anthony LaBate of Francesca Custom Apparel Shop.
The designer’s gowns typically range in price from $1,000-$10,000. “This [dress] is well above and beyond the usual [cost],” an assistant to the designer told Reuters.
