Northeastern Fine Jewelry Opens Location in Upstate New York

Northeastern Fine Jewelry, based in Schenectady, N.Y., celebrated the opening of its fourth retail location—and third store in the Albany, N.Y., area—in Glens Falls, N.Y., with a grand opening party open to the public last night.

The 2,500-square-foot store at 167 Glen Street took over the storefront from Scoville Fine Jewelers, which closed last year.

Chris Scoville, the former owner of Scoville Jewelers, hand picked Northeastern Fine Jewelers to succeed his business in the spot—and the new store stocks his original jewelry collection, CS Designs.

According to The Post-Star, Noah Illinski, who’s been with Northeastern Fine Jewelry since 2015, is the manager of the new store. And Jennifer Carusone, a longtime Scoville Jewelers employee, has stayed on as a sales associate.

Northeastern Fine Jewelry launched its first store in Schenectady in 1980.

The Glens Falls store carries major brands, including Hearts On Fire, Forevermark, Charles Krypell, Tacori, Simon G., Michele, and Phillips House.

“I’m certainly excited about continuing the tradition of having a fine jewelry store located in our downtown,” Glen Falls mayor Jack Diamond told The Post-Star. “Kudos to Chris Scoville and the Scoville family for identifying a company with an outstanding track record.”
