Northeastern Fine Jewelry, located in Schenectady, N.Y., announced the appointment of Gregg Kelly to vice president in charge of staff and training at all three of the company’s locally owned and operated stores.

Kelly, who has spent the previous seven and a half years as the jeweler’s director of sales, will also oversee efforts to maintain high standards of consistency, efficiency, and customer relations throughout the company.

“I’ve enjoyed my time with Northeastern Fine Jewelry immensely and look forward to leading the company into the future as we strive to further our reputation for excellent customer service,” Kelly said in a statement. “We had our best year in 2011, but in retail you’re only as good as your last year. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Kelly managed Glen Sanders Mansion for Mazzone Hospitality before joining Northeastern Fine Jewelry as a sales associate in 2004. He was promoted to manager of the company’s Albany store, and became the director of sales for all Northeastern Fine Jewelry locations in 2010.
