New Superfit Showroom Opens in Downtown Philadelphia

On Sept. 15, Superfit—the manufacturer of a patented hinge mechanism for rings and a line of finished goods dubbed CliQ featuring the same technology—celebrated the grand opening of new offices and studio space in the Belmont Building in Philadelphia’s Center City.

Superfit celebrated its move downtown with custom mango Cliqtini cocktails, influential community members like Kevin Dow (chief operating officer and deputy commerce director for the city of Philadelphia), and jewelry industry press members including Hedda Schupak and Peggy Jo Donahue.

The 18-year-old company stared out in Havertown, Pa., and moved to King of Prussia in 2011 before recently relocating downtown.

“The city just made it so appealing for us to move here,” says Eric Alulis, Superfit vice president of product development. “We fell in love with the space—light, open, and airy—and were excited about the lifestyle and buzz of being in the city. Plus, it’s centrally located to the airport and New York City. And on top of that, the city made it easy for us with tax credits for bringing manufacturing into Philadelphia.”

The Alulis family was presented with a citation from the city, officially welcoming Superfit into its new offices and manufacturing studio and commending the firm, including Gena, Paul, and Eric Alulis, for its support of Philadelphia’s creative economy.
