The National Jeweler Network, organizer of the JA New York shows, has announced that the JA New York Winter Show will be held March 9-11, 2008. The show, formerly held in January, will continue to take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Organizers say the new dates will provide ample time for more than 12,000 expected jewelry professionals in attendance to have an opportunity to assess post-holiday inventory and to more closely align with spring trends and events. More than 800 exhibitors are expected to display their products and services at the show.
“As the first major jewelry show of the year, the 2008 Winter Show promises to attract impressive crowds from around the world,” said Drew Lawsky, JA New York group show director. “March is the perfect time to announce the upcoming seasons’ trends—creating optimal buying conditions for bridal season, graduation, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. The response from our attendees about both the timing and our showcase offerings has been very enthusiastic.”
According to a recent survey by the organization, more than 70 percent of buyers come exclusively to the JA New York Show for all of their spring buying.
The returning features of the show include JA New York’s Bridal Showcase and the iW Watch Pavilion. The National Jeweler Network Café will provide a place for networking and complimentary Internet access for attendees on the show floor.
Trends will be displayed at the Designer Showcase and the Couture Pavilion will provide an elegant, luxurious atmosphere for exhibitors and retailers.
The International Pavilions will include participants from Italy, Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Japan. Other special sections include The Inner CircleTM, Diamond Way, New Product Gallery, and the Gift Gallery.
Jewelers of America Education Seminars will guide attendees through the latest techniques and trends, featuring speakers, panel discussions, and networking talks.
