Moti Ganz named new president of IsDMA

The Israel Diamond Manufacturers’ Association (IsDMA) elected Moti Ganz as its incoming president. Ganz replaces Uri Schwartz, who served two terms in this position.

Ganz, 43, owner of Moti Ganz Diamonds Ltd., a second-generation diamantaire, began his career in the industry in 1982 as an independent manufacturer. His company, one of the leading diamond exporters in Israel, is the owner of the Elara brand diamond cut, and a DTC sightholder.

Ganz has been active in the IsDMA since 1989, when he was elected to its executive board. In 2001 and 2002 he served as deputy president of the association.

Schwartz was nemed honorary president, and will continue to serve as a member of the executive board. David de Toledo was elected deputy president, and Shlomo Yovel and Avner Haimov were elected vice-presidents.

The Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association, with approximately 200 members, represents the manufacturers who cut and polish about 95% of the total output of the Israel diamond industry.
