Massachusetts Jeweler Hit by Early Morning Smash-and-Grab

An undetermined amount of jewelry was stolen from Garabedian Jewelers in Shrewsbury, Mass., this morning

According to the police—who responded to an alarm at the store after 3 a.m.—the robbers used a piece of concrete to smash the front door. “They took jewelry from three showcases,” owner Victor Garabedian tells JCK. He says the Old Shrewsbury Village plaza
location hasn’t had any thefts before. “It’s part of the business. I’ll handle
it.” The police searched the area but found no suspects.

Garabedian says the alarm system was also triggered at 3 a.m. on
Oct. 27, but no foul play was discovered.
