Longtime Ohio Jeweler Dies

W. Norman Baker, a longtime member of the jewelry industry,
died in Marietta, Ohio, March 30. He was 89.

A gemologist and registered jeweler, Baker joined the family
business, Baker & Baker Jewelers, in the early 1940s, and
continued as principal owner for more than 50 years, according to an online memorial
site
.
He served as president of the board of directors for the Mid-America Jewelers
Association of Ohio
and was a member
of the American Gem Society.
