Liz Claiborne to buy back $150 million more in stock

Liz Claiborne Inc., which makes fashion apparel and accessories, said Thursday its board authorized the repurchase of $150 million worth of stock, above the existing repurchase program, Reuters reported.

The New York company said it has $71 million remaining on its prior stock buy-back. The total authorization of share buy- backs is $1.675 billion.

The company has already purchased 42.3 million common shares under the current program.
