Levinson Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Plantation, Fla.-based Levinson Jewelers is showcasing the “Soraya Ribbon” necklace, with the breast cancer awareness ribbon, to honor and support women who have breast cancer. Thirty percent of the proceeds will be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Necklace was originally designed for Soraya, a Latin music singer/songwriter who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2006. Shortly after her passing, Levinson Jewelers officially named the necklace “Soraya Ribbon.” The 18k rose gold pink sapphire and diamond necklace created by jewelry designer Barry Kronen is available in two sizes, priced at $3,000 and $5,000. Soraya strived to educate the Hispanic community about the importance of breast cancer screenings and was a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

“We created this necklace to show our support in fighting this destructive disease,” said Mark and Robin Levinson, co-owners of Levinson Jewelers. “Soraya was an amazing advocate for breast cancer awareness and education, and she inspired us along with many others to become involved with this cause, not only in October, but all year long. We only hope that we can continue to following in Soraya’s footsteps to be the driving force in this matter.”
