Leviev Appoints Toth to U.S. Sales Team

Luxury diamond brand LEVIEV has appointed Patrick Toth as sales director in the United States. Toth and the sales team will soon be located at 700 Madison Ave., when the Leviev Boutique opens in the Summer 2007, the company said in a statement.

In the interim, Toth will report directly to Thierry Chaunu, Leviev president and chief operating officer. Toth’s role in the development of sales will be instrumental in building the brand’s success in the United States, Leviev said.

Previously, Toth spent eight years with Mikimoto and most recently, two years with Chopard. During his 19 years in the industry, he has achieved significant sales records and is regarded as one of the most successful brand impresarios in the U.S.

Named after diamantaire Lev Leviev, Leviev controls some of the largest private diamond mines in the world and is also the largest privately held polisher and cutter of diamonds. The company has exclusive access to some of the world’s most unique stones and offers the industry’s most extraordinary assortment of large, rare and colored diamonds.

Leviev is set to open several luxury diamond boutiques in selected cities around the world, including its first store at 31 Old Bond St. in London, which opened in Spring 2006 and a New York flagship at 700 Madison Ave. opening in mid-2007.
