
Leo Schachter Diamonds topped Israel’s annual list of the 25 largest polished diamond exporters with a net $403 million in net polished diamond exports in 2011.
This marks the first time in 11 years that Lev Leviev Diamonds, which requested not to be included on the list, has not led the ranking.
Second and third on the list of top exporters are M.I.D. House of Diamonds with $239 million, and A.A. Rachminov Diamonds with $216 million. In fourth and fifth places are E.Z. Diamonds Ltd. with $140 million, and Yosfe Diamonds International with $130 million in net exports.
The rest of the top 10 is as follows:
6. Niru Diamonds, $111 million
7. Arabov Group Ltd., $102 million
8. Andre Messika, $101 million
9. Ofer Mizrachi Diamonds Ltd., $96 million
10. Rosy Blue Sales, $85 million
Total net exports of the 25 largest companies in 2011 is $2.44 billion, or close to 33 percent of Israel’s net total polished exports of $7.2 billion.
The list of 25 does not include 12 companies who chose not to publish their export figures. They accounted for $1.27 billion, or 17.3 percent, of Israel’s net polished exports in 2011.
The list was published by the Israel diamond controller’s office in the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor.
