Eddie Le Vian, designer and chief executive officer of Le Vian Corp., joined top industry guests at the Le Vian Red Carpet Revue 2009, the JCK Las Vegas event benefitting Jewelers for Children at the Toscana Ballroom at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.

The red carpet revue celebrated its two year partnership with InStyle magazine, with a standing room only audience of 400 of the industry’s leaders, from retail to industry organizations to press.

Cory Kessler, the CNN.com news commentator and Le Vian spokesperson, and Dina Carlson, promotion manager at InStyle, began the presentation with a historical tidbit about the Red Carpet and commentary on the importance of color, then presented a recap of the 2008 trends in fine jewelry and fashion with examples of which celebrities wore Le Vian and the styles and colors of gowns chosen. The presentation continued with the forecasts for the 2009 Red Carpet Season.

The main trend forecast—chocolate diamonds with a Strawberry Gold twist—was introduced in several ways—inside towering museum cases, shown on big screens, and throughout the trend presentation models wearing couture gowns and dresses by Ports 1961 which provided the most elegant backdrop to the trends and male models carrying trays with an up-close look of trends. Le Vian also forecasts green gold and stacking bracelets to be trends.
