For Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, venturing into vibrantly colored gemstones was not an easy decision, despite their beauty. After all, the five-year-old line is known for its Art Deco styling, as well as its signature monochromatic black and white color scheme, and Trump didn’t want to stray too far from these roots. Still, she is taking the plunge next week at Elite Enclave at LUXURY where she’ll unveil an emerald collection of jewelry, replete with one-offs and limited editions.
CEO Andrea Hansen told JCK last week that the designs (including fan motifs) connect strongly to Trump’s favorite era, and reflect her personal taste. “We came up with an interesting way to fulfill what Ivanka wanted to do, and what clients have been asking us for,” Hansen says.
Black enamel accents, cabochon cuts, and white metals all help round out the offerings that roughly range in retail price from $5,000 to $100,000.
“Once we hit the 100-door level late last year, it became more important for us to further develop our lines with more styles,” adds Hansen. “Some markets are casual and informal, while others are more traditional, dainty, and classic. Meanwhile, Asia and the Middle East require more great bling to take each collection across the board.”
In LUXE E6-Reef Ballroom, expect to see a micro Trump boutique displaying the same aesthetic as the retail stores, with her signature patterned carpet, furniture, curtains, and more, to give visitors an even more authentic taste of the brand.
