The owners of a Los Angeles jewelry store have pleaded guilty to illegally
importing and selling Chinese-made knockoff designer accessories, some of which
contained dangerous levels of lead, according to an local news report.
According to the report, owners Il Keun Oh, his wife Jacqueline Oh and her
brother Joon Yeop Kim, a store manager, entered their pleas in federal court
Monday June 21. Each pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of
delivering a hazardous substance. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 18 and the
defendants could face up to more than five years in prison.
