Krieger Watches sponsored the third annual Poker & Casino Night benefiting the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces, held Sept. 29 at The Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort, Sunny Isles, Fla. The event raised more than $230,000 while attendees enjoyed a poker tournament, blackjack, craps, roulette, premium bars, hors d’oeuvres, silent auctions, and raffles.
More than 270 poker players turned out this year to show their skills on the tables with an additional 750 guests that joined in the action with casino games. Isaac Possin took home the grand prize, a $10,000 World Series of Poker tournament ticket. Stuart Starr won a Krieger watch valued at $7,000. The top female winner of the night left with a $750 ticket to the High Heels Poker Tour. The silent auction raised more than $15,000 breaking the goal for the evening. Many of South Florida’s business, philanthropic, and young professional community turned out to support the cause.
The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces helps support social, educational, and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women soldiers of Israel who defend the Jewish homeland.
