Karl Lagerfeld’s Tour Eiffel Bridal Collection

Karl Lagerfeld unveiled its Eiffel Tower–inspired bridal collection at JCK Las Vegas earlier this month. The Kaiser, as the German-born designer is also fondly called, developed the collection based on the geometric lines of the tower, originally built for the World’s Fair in Paris in 1889. “I love the Eiffel Tower,” said Lagerfeld, who has lived in the City of Lights since attending private school there when he was a young man. “My dream was to have an apartment with a view of the Eiffel Tower.”

The collection is comprised of engagement rings and wedding bands drawing upon shapes from the world-famous Parisian landmark. Diamond halo rings are modeled after the tower’s base and milgrain beading is meant to reflect the tower’s rivets and arch motifs. Diamond configurations represent the various floors of the structure while they themselves are meant to conjure up images of the eye-arresting flashing lights of the tower at nighttime. The pieces are offered in 18k white gold, yellow, or rose gold, as well as platinum. Prices are moderate, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

The Eiffel Tower bridal jewelry joins existing jewelry lines, including Pyramid, Perspective, and Arch collections, all inspired by European architecture.
