The Jewelers Vigiliance Committee will present a seminar titled “How to Hire, Fire and Be a Legally Compliant Employer in One Easy Lesson” to jewelers located in New York City’s 47th Street Business Improvement District on March 14.
The goal of the seminar, taught by Suzan R. Flamm, JVC’s senior counsel, is to prevent employment lawsuits, which have increased almost 50 percent in federal courts in the last decade. The event includes lessons on how to create a favorable workplace environment, as well as how to legally hire and fire employees.
